Professional Focus

Leanne Fuith is assistant director of the Center for Law and Business at William Mitchell College of Law. She previously practiced employment law and general civil litigation at Laurie & Laurie, P.A., where she helped clients solve problems including discrimination, sexual harassment, whistleblowing, breach of contract, non-competes, unemployment hearings and other employment claims. She is admitted to practice in the State of Minnesota. She is visiting assistant professor at William Mitchell College of Law teaching Transactions and Settlements and the J-Term class Deals and Dispute Resolution and assisting with the Academic Prep Workshop for incoming students.

Ms. Fuith is a cum laude graduate of William Mitchell College of Law and received the CALI Award in Negotiating and Drafting Business Agreements while a student. She is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Minnesota Women Lawyers, the Minnesota chapter of the National Employment Lawyer’s Association and the Dakota County Bar Association. She also serves on the MSBA’s Practice Management and Marketing Section Council. She has previously served as a Guardian ad Litem for Ramsey County and volunteered with the ElderCare Rights Alliance.

Ms. Fuith’s undergraduate degree is in journalism and marketing communications and she has extensive experience in marketing, corporate communications, and business development for small businesses and Fortune 500 companies. She continues to work as a freelance writer and marketing consultant. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her two young children and is active in her community. She is the Chair of the Community Education Advisory Council and the Legislative Committee Chair of the Early Childhood Family Education Advisory Council in her local area and is involved with the Volunteers Lawyers Network.
