    The discussions to understand the new patentability requirements of the patent law reform bill, S515 in the Senate, appears to have finally begun. A simplification of the Pedersen-Woo Matrix is: File early; file often! There are going to be alot of what Pedersen has called “String Provisionals”. At least American inventors will be preserving their foreign patent rights as well.

  2. As a freelance patent draftsman & Invention Documentation Analyst, this was valuable and a very informative presentation. Technology is advancing at such a fast pace, that technical preparation of patent applications and the associated imaging indicates more change lies ahead. Future changes of patent law need to be addressed with the same understanding and clarity that was exhibited by Brad Pederson and Justin Woo.
