Mitchell in London is an exceptional opportunity for students to study comparative law with international scholars, leading judges, and top practitioners. This year United States Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr. will join us to teach The United States Supreme Court in Historical Perspective.
This innovative summer program led by William Mitchell College of Law offers law school students from across the United States the opportunity to spend five weeks studying in London, one of the world’s leading cities for law, business, trade, politics, research, art and entertainment.
Students take three in-depth courses (6 credits) that explore legal issues of global importance. Courses are taught by top U.S. and British law professors, leading American lawyers and British barristers, and prominent judges. The instructors bring unique professional perspectives and real-world experience to the classrooms and structure courses so they are comprised of a combination of class discussion and extensive small group break-out sessions that require hands-on practical application of topics under discussion.
In addition to the classroom activities, students have three long weekends free to travel, explore, and experience all that the United Kingdom has to offer.
