Defense Department general counsel to speak at William Mitchell

Jeh Johnson, General Counsel Department of DefenseA man who has been described as one of the most powerful and influential lawyers in the federal government will speak at William Mitchell College of Law from 6:30 to 8 pm Tuesday, March 6.
Jeh Johnson, general counsel of the U.S. Department of Defense and a close security advisor of President Obama, will discuss emerging issues in national security and the law.

Johnson has held a number of public service positions, having served as an assistant United States attorney and later as general counsel of the Air Force in the Clinton administration. He has also been a successful trial lawyer in private practice.

The National Security Forum is hosting the event, which is co-sponsored by Leonard, Street and Deinard and Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi.
