A man who has been described as one of the most powerful and influential lawyers in the federal government will speak at William Mitchell College of Law from 6:30 to 8 pm Tuesday, March 6.
Jeh Johnson, general counsel of the U.S. Department of Defense and a close security advisor of President Obama, will discuss emerging issues in national security and the law.
Johnson has held a number of public service positions, having served as an assistant United States attorney and later as general counsel of the Air Force in the Clinton administration. He has also been a successful trial lawyer in private practice.
The National Security Forum is hosting the event, which is co-sponsored by Leonard, Street and Deinard and Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi.
