Fuith joins Center for Law and Business

Leanne Fuith ’10 is the new assistant director for Mitchell’s Center for Law and Business (CLB). Fuith will split her time between administrative duties at the CLB and teaching.

Fuith smallerShe is a visiting assistant professor, currently teaching three classes at Mitchell: Agency, Partnerships and LLCs, Transactions & Settlements and Deals & Dispute Resolution.

“Leanne is going to be a great addition,” says CLB director Louis Ainsworth. “She has great business experience, and as the center continues to grow and expand its programs, she will fill a central role, merging a number of pieces together.”

A cum laude graduate of Mitchell, Fuith most recently concentrated her practice in business law, employment law, and general civil litigation. Before pursuing her legal career, she focused on business development, marketing strategy, and corporate communications for FedEx, Andersen Windows, and Thomson FindLaw. She was responsible for setting business growth strategies, implementing corporate branding and communication initiatives, and negotiating a wide variety of partnership agreements.

Fuith is a member of the Minnesota Women Lawyers and the Minnesota State Bar Association, where she serves as secretary of the practice management and marketing section. She also works as a freelance writer and marketing consultant, provides pro bono legal representation through the Volunteer Lawyers Network, and serves on various education advisory boards in her local community.
