What to Bring

Bring the following items so your visit can be productive.

Everyone

Make sure you bring everything you’ve received from the court.

The items in bold are essential; all items will make the process faster, easier, and more accurate.

Criminal Expungement

You can obtain your complete criminal history record through the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

  • Case file number of underlying charge
  • Judge’s order of conviction or dismissal
  • Paperwork from previous attempts at expungement
  • Envelopes and stamps (enough to serve all interested parties)

Child Support Modification

  • Current Child Support Order
  • Proof of current income (ie. pay stubs, W2s, 2009 or 2010 tax returns)
  • Any other Child Support Orders (and the amount of child support obligations)
  • Verification of child care costs (for all children)
  • Cost of medical and dental insurance (both individual and family coverage)
  • Proof of disability (ie. doctor’s statement including work restrictions)
  • Verification of receipt of public assistance
  • Verification of unemployment compensation and proof of unemployment (ie. a letter from your former employer)

Dissolution (divorce)

  • Notice of dissolution (if papers have already been filed)
  • Current income information from all sources, bank statements, and retirement plans
  • Current debt information (ie. credit card bills, loan statements, student loans, etc.)
  • Information about any property you own, including your home, land, buildings, vehicles, or contracts for deed owned (including the legal description of property from the deed and the amount owed on any property)

If kids are involved, you also need:

  • verification of costs of: child care, medical and dental insurance
  • verification of public assistance
