Law & Business: Corporate Accounting & Financial Reporting (fka Accounting & Finance Survey) (2018)

The course provides an overview of accounting concepts and the practical uses of accounting and financial information. Topics will include fundamental accounting rules and practices, understanding and using general purpose financial statements, and the application of accounting data and financial principles to assess business performance and value and make other business decisions. Students will work on exercises that apply accounting methodologies to record, measure, analyze and compare performance.

Grading: Letter graded based on class participation, problem-solving exercises, and an exam.
