IP - Patent Litigation (5010)

This course introduces students to the legal and practical considerations involved in litigating patent disputes. The course uses a single litigation as a case study, beginning with a cease-and-desist demand and concluding with closing arguments. This course places emphasis on the skills inherent in patent litigation, including client counseling, brief writing, witness depositions, and direct and cross examination.

Grading: Exam, skills exercises and other grading methods.

Prerequisite(s): IP - Patent Law II
